These GySEV wagons are a collection of Eurofima-derived passenger coaches that highlight the evolution of international rail travel between Austria and Hungary under GySEV (Raaberbahn).

Originally built as part of the famous Eurofima programme, the Bmz 21-90 and ABmz 31-90 coaches were designed for premium long-distance services across Europe. Constructed to the UIC-Z standard, these vehicles featured air-conditioning from new, smooth-riding high-speed bogies, and modern passenger amenities that made them among the most advanced coaches of their era.

The Bmz 21-90 coaches provide comfortable second-class accommodation in a traditional compartment layout, while the ABmz 31-90 combines both first- and second-class seating within a single vehicle, offering operational flexibility for international services. Throughout their careers, these coaches operated on a wide variety of InterCity, EuroCity, and cross-border express trains linking Hungary, Austria, and neighbouring European countries.

Built for international operation at speeds of up to 200 km/h, these vehicles were equipped with either SGP VS-RIC or Fiat Y270 bogies and featured magnetic track brakes for high-speed service. Their distinctive Eurofima heritage, combined with later refurbishments and modernisations, allowed them to remain an important part of GySEV’s passenger fleet well into the 21st century.

Together, these coaches represent a classic era of European rail travel, combining the comfort and prestige of the original Eurofima design with the operational versatility required for modern international services.

Installation

Step 1 – Run the “TM_GYSEV_SGP_Pack_vX_X_X.exe” utility and follow the installation steps.
Step 2 – Have fun!

Documentation

In order to use this asset on a route, you must first check “TM/RailWorks” in Scenario Editor and find the cars in the list with the “TM” prefix.

The interior night mode will turn on automatically based on season and current time as follows:

  • Spring: 20:00 – 7:00
  • Summer: 21:00 – 6:00
  • Autumn: 17:00 – 7:30
  • Winter: 16:30 – 8:00

The passenger system uses a “Spawn Chance” (probability) to determine how many seats are filled. This percentage fluctuates based on the game’s clock to simulate rush hours and quiet periods:

  • Morning Rush Hour (07:00 – 09:00): 80% occupancy probability.
  • Evening Rush Hour (16:00 – 18:30): 80% occupancy probability.
  • Night/Early Morning (22:00 – 05:00): 25% occupancy probability.
  • Standard Off-Peak (All other times): 40% occupancy probability.

Coaches spawn empty until doors are opened for the first time. Seat occupancy is completely randomized with every subsequent station stop, accurately mimicking passenger turnover.

★ The coaches feature animated electromagnetic track brakes which, as per real-life, will activate and push down on the track when applying the brakes at speeds over 50km/h while at lower speeds they will stay inactive while braking. These animations will also trigger when the emergency brakes are applied at any speeds.

Note: this feature works only with the BR 101 locomotive that has “Apply to Consist” enabled on its “DynamicBrake” control value in the blueprint. If you want this feature to work with other locomotives, you will need to modify this control value in the locomotive’s blueprint accordingly.
