Discover a classic generation of Austrian passenger rolling stock with this collection of ÖBB SGP and Eurofima second-class corridor coaches. Introduced from the late 1970s, these UIC-Z coaches became a key part of ÖBB’s long-distance fleet, serving everything from domestic express trains to international services throughout Central Europe.

The coaches were originally delivered in the Bmoz/Bmz 21-70 series, featuring a traditional compartment layout with eleven second-class compartments. Built to the 26.4-metre UIC-Z standard, they were designed for comfortable high-speed operation and international compatibility, with an original maximum speed of 160 km/h.

As the fleet evolved, numerous coaches underwent extensive refurbishment and were rebuilt into the Bmz 21-90 series. These modernised vehicles received upgraded interiors, improved climate-control systems, sliding entrance doors, and enhanced running gear. With these modifications, their operating capability was increased to as much as 200 km/h, allowing them to remain competitive in modern express service.

Their unmistakable ÖBB red-orange livery, paired with the characteristic Eurofima body design and SGP bogies, made these coaches instantly recognisable across Austria and neighbouring countries. For decades, they could be found behind ÖBB locomotives on InterCity, EuroCity, and other international express formations.

This pack brings together both the original 21-70 coaches and their later 21-90 successors, showcasing the transition from classic Eurofima-era passenger stock to modernised high-speed coaches.
